    Reflective guy line material

Anyone know how this stuff compares to Lawson glow wire in terms of suitability for guy lines on a tarp? It's cheaper and they even have a size smaller.

I have two rolls of the micro-cord in 1/16". It holds knots well and it plenty strong enough for guy lines. Sorry I don't have any first hand info on the reflective version.

After running a quick search on atwood, doing a little reading, I'm going to throw a roll or 2 on the Christmas list and see what happens.

It's pretty much all I use now, along with Dutch tarpworms since this fits the tarpworm hole after being melted. Had some of the micro glow cord going on 6 months now with a half-dozen or more days/nights and no fraying or other issues. I've also used their Kevlar line as a CRL with a Dutch hook and a wasp. Made a couple continuous loops out of regular microcord, prussiked them on to hold s-biners and to allow for a "V" if I ever want it, and it works brilliantly. The Kevlar has a 200# rating.

Was testing a new UQ down in the 20s two weekends ago and my Winter Dream and CRL survived two nights hanging in 20+ mph winds. I've tried their glow-in-the-dark cord as well and while it works, it really needs a day of bright sun to hold a decent glow for more than a couple of hours.

I've used those rings as part of the tensioners on a full ridge line. Not a bad option if you go for a full ridge line.
