    Red face New indoor hang

I put it together with 1 3/8" top rail pipe from Home Depot. The cast aluminum corners are my most worried part. I hope they don't fail I examined them for class and think I picked the best. The angle is slightly steeper thank my other spot but this way my dog can get used to sleeping under the hammock.

I have seen several designs like this. I have been unable to find them though. After I replace my desk all will be better.

I like it. The corner brackets look strong.

Im pretty sure the corner brackests will be fine, most of the pressure on them is compressive and they should handle it.

Looks neat. I have been looking to do something like this. I have a couple of qustions though. Is it attached to the wall or do you have a base supporting the poles on the end? Also, what was the total cost?

@owlsnest Thank you! after a few days now it looks like the corner brackets will be just fine.

@transuphrates The stand is attached to the wall with some plumbers tape to keep it from falling over. The poles are sitting right on the carpet, I may cut a piece of something to put under them in the near future or find a rubber plug that will fit. Total cost was around $60.

My poles are 90" long and the total middle length is 134". I purchased 4 of 1 3/8" top rail poles, 2 corner brackets, 1 union, and a roll of galvanized plumbers tape. I didn't use the union. my height was determined by my curtain rods so I could go above them and have a little more flexibility. Right now I wish I had just moved my bed away that is the most difficult part climbing up and out of the hammock and then down the bed.

Can't quite see it all, but....the corner joint looks to be made of aluminum. I'd keep an eye on that area for cracking of the casting.

Thanks Waldo, that was my original concern as well. So far so good.

    Nice!
I used a pair of Petzl ice climbing screws.
    Black Diamond also makes them.

Those a cool. The whole point of this design was to not be supported by the wall itself. Only part of the wall that comes into play is the small bit that is keeping the frame from falling over.
