I moved mine into one of those Ikea shelves with the big cubby spaces. They're virtually uncompressed in the cubbies and take up way less closet space than hanging.

My EE quilts each came with a storage bag, I have them hanging in closet in the bags.
This is what I do.. I have those plastic food-grade blue 55 gallon (maybe more?) barrels with removable white plastic lids that have that built in gasket and corresponding steel locking ring..
What goes in - 2 HG 0 degree Incubators, their stuff sacks and quilt protectors.. Just these two quilts take up 3/4 of the barrel. I also throw in (at the bottom) a pound of salt sealed in a cloth bag to handle moisture just in case..
Next barrel gets the top quilts... and some odds and ends in the bottom along with the salt pack.. Salt packs are "rechargeable" in the oven on low heat.
I may take my drill and place very small venting hole rings at the high, mid and low points of the barrels this summer.. or, maybe not.

I have taken to using these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o07_s00
I fold the quilts in half lengthwise and use those hangars with two clips.
They hang fully lofted and fully protected. They can fill a closet quickly if you have several quilts.
