I have to say a HUGE thank you to many on this site for posting how-to and general information and innovation and of course the venders.
This is my DIY 10'6" tiger stripped hammock with integrated bugnet/cover combo.
#5 zipper used for bugnet/cover to hammock, #3 sipper used for cover to bugnet.
I intended it to be 11' but for reasons unknown to me it ended up shorter.
Have taken some extended naps but so far no over nighters, comfort level = very good, no noticeable calf ridge so far.
After taking these pics I also added a peak bag, closed up on the peak end with a looped draw string connected to a dogbone via soft shackle to keep it in place, the other end I used shock cord to almost close up the end but will open up plenty large enough to stuff the cover or cover/bugnet inside.
Oh, and added festive lights along the ridgeline.
Needless to say, I'm very proud of this project even if I made plenty of mistakes along the way, some show a bit, some don't.
