Learned my lesson. Next trip I will only check the weather 2 days before!
That's Northern Michigan weather for you. Very unpredictable what with the lake and all. Up here the weather report is a multiple choice question. Even then it will still change every five minutes.
Picked up the Cajun bacon today. I have never tried it but a local butcher makes it. Hope it's tasty.
If you want a good snowshoeing trek, park at Pickerel Lake rd. (Leave room for plow to turn around). If you utilize GPS, coordinates for cabin: 45' 10' 16.70 N 84' 32' 32.58 W. Bridge across Pickeral Creek is more or less due east of that waypoint.That sucks!! Is the whole thing like that, or just the first 100' or so? Apparently someone is driving thru that gate? If it is, I'm definitely blazing my own path to camp! I'm going to get a decent winter/snowshoeing trip in this winter even if it kills me! But now RAIN sunday...come on. This is killing me
Snow is just now starting to fall at cabin and forecasted to fall for next 12 hours.
Should do a good job of covering icy trail up.
All packed including shorts and sunscreen for Saturday. I may take that route Don, not sure yet. Also got my jeep suspension issue fixed so I can finally enjoy a quiet ride up.

We are headed up super early Friday morning. Shooting to be at cabin by noon 1 o'clock.
