We are 2 weeks away for Green Timbers and the anticipation is killing me! I've been assured by Turkey that we will have plenty of snow. Dogger & Donk have come through with more pots and it sounds like everyone is getting organized. My DIY project this weekend is snow anchors ( https://hammockforums.net/forum/show...P-SNOW-ANCHORS ), so 10' of downspout should make a bunch. I will bring them all, but will haul out none. First come, first served....

I will be carpooling with the Pantologist and we will be leaving early Thursday morning. If anyone wants to meet up with us, we will be at the Big Boy in Gaylord around 8:00 AM or so for breakfast. It's at exit 282, go left and it's on the south side of the main road after you go under I-75. I know Turkey & possibly Squirrelbait will be there, plus Badwind7 will be coming through the area around that time.

Besides me (Michigandave), Pantologist, Turkey, Badwinds7, Squirrelbait, and Donk67 (thursday night), who else is planning on coming up Thursday? Let's get a count on attendees for the hang to help out on food planning. Thanks!

I've been lurking, and watching this come together, I missed all the previous ones.

Nothing in my way right now, so I may be tossing my hat into the pile also.

It looks like the food pile is big, the gear pile is also.

Anything that is left undone, and needs attention?

I would also be arriving on Thursday, but 8:00 AM in Gaylord means I leave before 5, not sure if that will happen, but maybe

Hey just a thought of getting a more definitive group meal list going. So we don't clutter up the forum page, send me a pm with the group dish your planning on making and I'll get the list posted up tomorrow for everyone to check out.

I am going to get up their early Friday morning. Looking forward to meeting everybody.Kind of waiting on the food list to decide what I need to bring to help out with. Since this is my first time to do a group I welcome any ideas.

I will most likely be bringing my brother-in-law with me as well.

Mark me down for a +1.

So, I'm setting here at the house being teased by Ol-Lady Nature. We have temps. at night around 15* and during the day around 25* to 30* with a puff of snow of maybe 3/4 inch. What a tease nature can be, at work I'm still wearing a T-shirt outside. I need a snow injection and soon. I want a nature high and rush from being outdoors. Only ten more days and I will be on my way, I'll have the car packed on Monday, I know my boss wants us to be busy, but I hope it's a slow day so I can leave before 9pm like I have scheduled. They say we may get an inch this weekend and then the temps. will warm up. You guys would not believe how crazy this place gets over a little snow. Everyone either drives like a little old lady, to slow or drives to fast and hits something, like each other, or a ditch, they have no snow common sense, it's like the white snow whites out their brain cells. I really hope I get to use my pretty new snowshoes soon!!!

I'm a 50/50 on this one. If I do make it, I will either leave after work arriving around 10PM Thursday. Or wait and arrive 11AM Friday. No pulk and packing light so I won't have much, if anything, to contribute for food. But one last winter trip would be nice. 42° rain and some more upper 30s next week Could put a dent in the snow but hopefully it will be freshened up before the 25th.

Wish I could go, work will not allow the time, but I gotta shoot for next year, this looks like a great trip.
