Brandon is an awesome guy for sure, and truly was THE innovator back in the early days of hammock camping. His designs were groundbreaking.

I do hope to get a chance to "hang" with Brandon at some point, once I get out to Colorado for a trip. I do feel grateful that I have met and hung out with Dutch, though

    very nice post, dutch.

ironic; i started lurking in late 2007. i found jeff's site and that led me here. i didn't join till 2011. the catalyst for me signing up was the warbonnet. i bought it in 2011 and never looked back. prior to 2011 i had an eno and a couple other brands that i'm not sure what they were/are.

my main rig back then was a diy about 10 ft. it was ok but i wanted a "proper" hammock. the wbbb was it! i wanted something for bugs; got tired of jerry-rigging.

still got it and it's not going anywhere but with me

i was surprised when i found this community. i had never really thought to look. boom! when i did, here it was!

this community has established de-facto hammock standards that are valuable indeed. dutchware, brandon and others are a large part of it.

I purchased a hammock and tarp from Brandon.

Then I ode him around $300.00.
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

I see what you did there. I also ode him my thanks, my XLC has changed my life, before my hammock camping was a barely tolerable chore, now it's a pleasure.

The major thing I have appreciated is the willingness to post video's specific to a product. Between Brandon, Dutch and Shug - I didn't have to guess or trial and error. I just watched and rewatched video's to learn how it all works. Customer Service, passion, and a humble willingness to share with others is what makes Hammocking such a special forum. Thanks to Brandon I have my WBBB to hang in! Thanks to Dutch I have the bling to easily hang it! Thanks to Shug, I have the confidence to hang often! Finally, this forum has helped me to round out my knowledge and enjoy the prep as much as the trail. This is rare in today's day and age of the all mighty dollar and entitlement that seems to sometimes be more common. Peace to Dutch, Brandon, Shug and Peace on Earth during this holiday season.

Being a newb to the hammock world can be overwhelming, even with such an open and giving group as one can find here.. I haven't met any of the key players in person, but these three individuals have made getting up to speed easy. All visionaries in their own way.

I don't want to derail the thread, so back to regularly scheduled programming.

    Cheers and thanks to all!

Brandon & Dutch were the 1st vendors I ordered from after finding HF. Both have gotten multiple others from me. In fact the only vendors I have ordered from so far. But, a zeppelin is in my near future!

Superfly and Blackbird were my first as well. Still have them. Still use them. Have added a Traveler, Mamba and much more from other vendors. Thanks to you both.

Have never met or talked with Brandon, but my Superfly and the service he provided speaks volumes of his character. Speaking of character, you Dutch are one! I always laughed at your videos when you said "thank you everybody". I thought you were just nervous or something. Then last year, I met and talked to you at the Florida Hang. You and Adam(Stormcrow), are a couple of funny guys! What I admired about you, Dutch, is your overwhelming enthusiasm for hammock camping! It' was like you were a kid talking about his toys. As if I weren't already enthused enough about hammocks, you left me even more enthused. Thanks for being a guy that keeps this stuff exciting! Cheers and see you at HangCon next month!
