ZEPPELIN UQ and pillow ordered!!!

I finally stepped up my game and got a UQ and pillow from UGQ.

At first I wasn't sure if I wanted a full or long UQ. Being 6'4" and love being wrapped up like a cacoon. I shot for a long. I am super excited to see how everything turns out......

Good choice, it looks likje you have great taste in hammocks as well as with quilts.

I must confess that I had no idea that the UG would stink so much. It's not horrible! But I was caught off guard! lol

The pillow was ordered FIRM. Hangcon will be the test hang for my size 8 hat wearing BIG head to test the firmness. lol.

I head to a local park with gear to test and figure things out.


I set it up and loose all the cords to figure things out.


I start to figure the system out and I think I find my sweet spot.


I came across some questions.....

S-biners correct?



Should I be worried about the draw cord end cap? When it sunk into the hammock, it made me worried.


What are these? Located on each side



Is this correct?



On my dream hammock I have these hooks along the side. Do they connect to anything?




Overall I am super duper pleased with my UGQ UG.


It was 62 degrees with W 15 MPH winds outside for my test day. The UG kept my "WIDE" backside very cozy!

Being 6'4", I am glad I went with the longest version. It covers me from head to toe.

What are the triangle-looking rings on the inside for?

No worries on the cord end entering the channel, notice the lock stitching just inside to prevent it from going too far. The tri-rings are there for many reasons.... you can lace them with cord for creat a foot box and use it as a TQ it needed, you can attach a pull cord for warmer weather were it may be too warm when you go to bed for a quilt but as temps drop you can reach out, pull the cord and slide to quilt on to the hammock, you can use them to attach a short piece of cord to hammock guy outs to prevent the quilt from slipping off the hammock, those are a few uses.

Yes they are, they add virutally no weight. Every UQ has between 14-18 placed along the endge and ends of the quilt.
