The idea of prussics for tarp adjustment works with the ridge-line over or under just as well. I've been using a Klemheist which is quite similar to a prussic but better suited to loads parallel to the standing line (ridgeline).

Good video Shug!
It seems to me you could apply the same set-up with the ridgeline under the tarp and then you'd have your clothesline too.
Looks like you lost your razor since the Gorge! Growing a little fur covering for winter?

The "Search" function is your friend!
It's always interesting with new ideas !
That's what i love about this forum.
But i agree with Beep.
Seems, like more fiddle than my setup.
I use rings, like rings in the hammock setup.
Smaller rings of course, washers really.
The set up look like this:
On each of the D-rings (at each ridge line end) of the tarp i got a pair of rings attach by cord.
Through those rings goes one end of my support line for the tarp.
The other end of that support line is carbines.
When i pack my tarp in it's stuff sack i make sure that one of lines are on top.
When i hang it, i simply grab the biner , around the tree and biner snaps the line to the tarp.
Then i walk to the next tree , while the tarp is spilling out of the sack.
The second biner shows up and i do the same to this tree.
After that it's just a question of tighten it up.
If i put up the hammock after and tarp is not centered , that's easily adjusted.
Super easy ?
I forgott , great video shug !

Great video as usual:
I have been using a tree to tree ridge line under the tarp. I have a hook on one end, just wrap the tree and hook. On the other end of the line I use a truckers hitch to tighten the line. Purssic knots are used on each end of the tarp. I just use one skin for the tarp. To pack up I just skin the tarp and then pull the lines down off of the trees. I grab the skinned tarp in the middle and roll it up, all air trapped in the tarp escapes out the ends. Nice tight bundle. Then I wrap the ridge line around it and put in bag.
I plan to make a gear hammock out of No-See-Um to place on on the ridge line under the tarp.
It took great self-restraint to not run this video until lunch-time! I do enjoy the sounds of you and the string gang jamming.
I liked seeing the reefer madness in action too. I "got it" when TeeDee explained it, but didn't and still don't see how that made getting it back into its original stuff sack easier. That seems to require flat-folds, but I digress.
When I pack up my tarp, I do a kind of on-the-fly folding up that achieves what reefing achieves, and roll the fabric up into a sort of cylinder as I walk towards the tree. Get to the end, unhook the line, wrap it around the cylinder, and pop into the sack. Stays off the ground that way.
Hey I like the scruffy look now, maybe you can specialize in lumberjack routines in your show now
Thanks for the video, made for a nice lunch break.
Yep, I've got Klemheists on mine also, but I'm a little torn. On the one hand they apply the resistance in the one direction you really want it, on the other hand it is a bit harder to undo one that has been cinched down pretty tightly. At least that's the case with mine, for which cord I'm using 1.8mm LashIt.
Yes, I'm an "under the tarp" kind of guy myself. Takes the weight off the tarp's ridgeline tieouts, and (more importantly, as you point out) is my clothesline. At night my hiking clothes go over the line for airing but are still under the tarp.
Socks go as far away from my face as possible...
