    Hello from KY....

I'm just getting into the swing of things. Bought an ENO Doublenest to try out and have slept semi-comfortable for two separate nights in the woods. I'm having trouble duplicating the semi-comfortable feeling in my basement however. I believe that the high attachment on the ceiling in my basement is the culprit. I'm finding that the extra material flopping in my face is slightly annoying as well. I'm already researching my next purchase

You Tube and Shug led me here. Tons of awesome info. Instead of lurking and gleaning the info I thought I would register and say thank you.

    So thank you.

    Welcome from Lawrenceburg, KY!

My first hammock was an ENO Doublenest! I've still got it (though it doesn't get much use anymore) and it's still going strong! Most people find the ideal width for a hammock to be around 55"-70"... any wider and it just gets floppy like you've noticed.

If you have a smartphone, look for The Ultimate Hang Hammock Calculator App. It's a nifty little tool that makes hanging your hammock indoors a bit easier, and help get the same pitch every time and worth the $1 or $2 (The Ultimate Hang is a worth while book too)
