    Ok folk the no have it. I went ahead and got a new hammock from dutch. thanks for the advise. I will post new hammock if anyone wants to see it

    If you do not want to go Dutch then get 5 yards of suitable hammock material. Make it into a no sew lashed end hammock and try it. If that works then you can clean it up into whatever you want for a basic sewed hammock. If it does not work you can modify that into a bridge hammock. Either way you get some stuff sacks. ;-) You do want the extra yard to have enough to fold over and whip to get a knot to anchor to.

    It is really too bad that the tripartite [sewn from three strips of cloth] hammocks are the ones so readily available. I bet there are lots of people who never make it to the forum who get turned off to hammocking in general and/or never find out how much better the experience is for the same price, but with different gear.

    Now convert your ENO into a gear sling
    Cut it down to about 5',put continuous loops on each end. Also makes a good chair for those short luny breaks.
