If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

One good thing about RHK temps is that all precipitation will be solid.
Cold really is not the enemy, wind is, and for many dehydration...we always have a good buddy system going on too.
Excellent advice about not sweating on the climb up and the huge wind speed potential is there year around.

'ive learned this over the years if you sweat while hiking in the cold you will almost never get warmed up!So i try to take it easy while hiking not wear alot of layers a good wind shield as a base layer.
Its a good day to be out in the woods no matter the weather.Mist One..

Going to try something different this year. Last couple of cold cold hangs I've enjoyed Rivendell's Insulhammock. Liking to tinker with different brands this year I'll be sporting
on the Roan the Bonefire Winter Whisper! Just got word from Bro' Bones that is almost ready to ship. Within the confines of this insulated hammock is 1.6 pounds of the white fluffy
I'd like to try it before the baptism under ice but I've got a trip to Florida and Iowa between now and then=no time for testing. So this will be complete faith in what Brother Bones has
    come up with.
