Seperate UQ protector or built in?

Looking for fabric recommendations for the underquilt I plan to make. Specifically the outward facing fabric.

Does it make sense to use something like silpoly here so you don't need a protector or am I missing something?

No, you want breathable fabric, for both an UQP and an UQ.

Otherwise moisture from your body can and will accumulate in your insulation.
