    Anyone recall the guy from Norway or someplace similar things that also hung in extreme cold? His posts may be of benefit. I might try some searches tomorrow unless someone remembers better than me.

    Its possible your talking about Teepee from England who went to northern Sweden and was in very cold temps. But i'm not sure how to find that post. Ok so i can't find his thread here so maybe he has another name here , i forget , any way here's his TR from wintertrekking.com ,, it might be helpful, and as others have said already Shug has done some cold weather camping.

    If your husband is looking to use a hammock to camp out in, I would start out in summer to go through the learning curve. Doing that along with developing an insulation system for -40F temperatures, is a big task.

    I'd look into the hot tent setup that TZBrown recently posted about that others have linked to in this thread.
