Your right its 67" wide. But you really do notice the extra width over the standard width. It is super soft. Real good feel.

Totally agree. You DO notice the extra width over a more standard 59" finished width.
I've used my new Hex70 hammock on several trips now and am really enjoying the extra room but it's not too much that you have floppy edges. It is comfortable but very firm imho. I like that it provides more firm support, my back likes it too.

I have a hammeck netty that was made with the hyper d xl. I love the extra width.
Is the Hex70 XL available? I don't see it on the RSBTR website, and I thought he just decided on colors a few days ago????

OK, I'm a noob and I see a lot of mentioning the width not much on the length or fabric type. I'm 5'8" and 190 lbs. I was thinking of using a 1.1 oz MARPAT silpoly for my first DIY hammock. it is a 58" width. Is this a good selection? What determines the length you make it?

Sorry didn't realize HEXON was a fabric.

You'll likely get pretty sweaty from the silpoly--it isn't breathable, so consequently, your body's natural vapor wouldn't be able to escape and would pool below you.
I'd look for one of the breathable fabrics from rsbtr.
Enjoy your first build
