    Heavy Hot tent

I have had this tent for a couple of years and finally got around to setting it up

Originally used as a reenactor shelter, bought as used with double entry doors and a stove jack
Sunforger Canvas and flame retardant treated. Made by R.K. Lodges in MN
I still need to make the pole set, but now I have the measurements

With the doors on each end a hammock can be used inside also
I may use this when using my toboggan for camping this winter

But rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting,
    Woo Hoo!....What a Ride!

I might be concerned with how close the hammock suspension would be on one side to the stove pipe.... but that does look like a nice hot tent!

You may never leave that casa de canvas in deep winter! Bring a guitar and sweet it'll be.
Are you doing Civil War re-enacting? Always been kinda intriqued with that.

It's amazing how warm you can get from a small stove. Last weekend I set up an old M-1950 army tent and a small wood burner. A few small pieces of hardwood cherry and that baby was super toasty!

No dandy dressing, just back woods poor

I had both ends open and it was still to warm to stand inside

Your hot tent is of similar size to mine. Looks like yours is more of a wall tent (vertical sides). Mine is a wedge tent. I didn't bother with a frame for mine. I just use two support poles on each each along with ratchet straps to attach it to the trees that my hammock also hangs from. If you are doing a frame for yours, the challenge will be in finding connectors for the corners and the peak.

I will say that on those cold winter nights and early mornings, it is really hard to beat having a heated shelter.

    Cheers

Kilograms might be a better unit for the weight of a canvas tent of that size.
