Well, as promised, the weather in Nebraska is quite variable. It's sleeting right now on the north side of Lincoln.
However, the forecast is good; I'll be rolling in down there around 6:30. Hope to see you guys soon!

Yeah its a little chilly right now in the Haymarket. Will be a fun first full night hang for me haha. Im going to be there with a few co-workers (one who is also trying out his hammock, though only for lounging) but Im sure we'll run into each other.
This is last minute, but I may have a friend (he's a filthy stinking ground dweller) come with.
Hang the good hang.
So who's still coming?
Hang the good hang.
Thanks all who came! Johannes, Flatliner, and Codiak who stopped by on the way to the wedding. Next year, let's come up with some more activities for the kids!

By request, here's the recipe for my Mac and Cheese:
Serves 15-20
2lb box of macaroni elbows, cooked ahead and put in a gallon plastic bag
6 apples, cored, sliced thinly, and each slice in thirds
1 cup flour
2 sticks butter
Salt/Pepper (combine into cup of flour in a small baggie)
2 lb cheese (I use 1lb mild cheddar and 1lb sharp cheddar)
1 lb bacon bits (packaged stuff in salad aisle is good, so long that it is REAL BACON)
1/2 gallon milk
12qt Dutch Oven
Put several hot coals under the Dutch Oven, and, taking a long spoon, melt the two sticks of butter. Place flour and spices in the butter, mixing together and heating until bubbling/expanded (basic roux).
Put the milk in, and heat to boil (it will thicken as it gets close). Place 1lb of cheese in the milk mixture and melt/stir.
Put in noodles, apples, bacon, and half a pound of cheese, and mix well.
After mixing, put the second half of the cheese on top.
Place the lid to the Dutch Oven on, and place a generous amount of coals on top.
Monitor it infrequently to make sure top and bottom are not burning. When the top cheese is melted, and sometimes a bit brown, remove the Dutch Oven from the coals, and allow to stand for a few minutes. Serve with abandon.
Nice to meet some fellow hangers!
And talk about hanging you own hang, 3 very different setups and all looking very comfy
In spite of the smaller than expected turn out, I had a great time. Thanks to manbehindtheplan for putting this together.

Does anyone in this area have a good place to camp in between Lincoln and Omaha? Looking to do a camping trip this weekend with some friends and Im not super familiar with many of the rec areas around here.
What type of camping are you looking for?

Mostly car camping though if you have suggestions on anything with a short walk in I think we'd be ok with that too. We'll have a couple of people with tents but of course hammocks are the main concern
