    Dutch hammock

I was thinking about replacing my ENO hammock with an 11' netless hammock from Dutch. I'm not sure which material to get, so I was going to get 1.6 Argon. I really don't know the differences in material so I'm open to suggestions. Also, if you choose not to get a suspension, the hammock comes with a tie wire, and I'm not sure what that means. I'm almost positive that its not a continuous loop though.
I have an ENO that is about 8', maybe 9. I can get comfortable in it but I keep hearing that the longer ones are easier to get flat in.
In the Spring I plan to get a WBBB when the bugs come back. I thought for the price of Dutch's hammock I couldn't go wrong.

    Thanks

I just picked up the 1.6 olive brown hexon version. The fabric is very comfortable and you'll feel a huge difference in lay with the longer one. It comes with zip ties in the ends so you can add continuous loop through the channel or just bundle the end. I did add the Dutch ridge line by skipped the knotty mod. It's a great deal and Dutch is fast on delivery.

I have a hexon 1.6 and it is very comfortable. I haven't tried argon so I can't comment on that.

Tie wire = zip ties. A flexible plastic type material that you can make a loop with. The ends are gathered that way from Dutch. I just clipped them and used them to pull my whoopie slings through the end channel.

    Hi Bigvillage.

Firstly, um yeah, an 11 foot has a larger sweet spot than a shorter hammock.

I have argon hammocks and hexon too and of course a few of the older nylon 1.1 hammocks as well. I've also tried out a dobby fabric hammock and was pleasently surprised at the comfortable - ness of Dobby.

Frankly, you cannot go wrong with any Dutchware hammock. All three of the newer fabrics seem less stretchy than 1.1 nylon to me.

Dobby gives more support than hexon, hexon more than argon. My current favorite is Hexon because the 1.0 weight works for me and saving a few ounces helps on longer treks. For hanging around home, indoors, or on a short hike i may enjoy the Dobby better... time will tell.

I always tell folks to just go ahead and order any one of the Dutchware netless gathered end hammocks - don't stress over it - just Dutch it!. They are a fast, easy, and cost effective way to enjoy hammock hanging.

And, consider ordering a Dutchware suspension too. Really kewl suspension options at Dutchware! My goal is to own one of each suspension

The Hexon 1.6 is pretty awesome, not too much stretch with a nice soft feel.

I have the 11' PolyD. I really like it, but may add a hexon to the stable.

Would I be able to pull a continuous loop in there? I'm trying to keep cost down and I have a Warbonnet cinch buckle suspension now.

Thank you all for the suggestions! It all helps a lot. Think I'm going with hexon.

Yes, continuous loops would be fine. That is what I did for my wife's.

I have a PolyD and Dobby from Dutch and gotta say I love them both. I use the Dobby for wintertime hanging with the knotty mod since it cuts wind better than the other hammocks I have. You can't go wrong with Dutch as already expressed. They're great hammocks.
