Newbie from Clearwater, FL

Hi all,

Brian here, aka Sparky, Have been an avid tent camper for years, really looking forward to getting into hanging. I took the plunge with a Hennessy Hammock Jungle Safari Zip. Really looking forward to hooking up with some local people and learning "the ropes" I stumbled upon this forum and could not believe the massive amount of info here!

Welcome from a native of St. Petersburg. Grew up in Seminole. Living in Utah for the past 28 years. Still have family in Palm Harbor.

You'll find more hammock info than you ever knew existed here. Plus the people on this forum are super nice & helpful.

Just for day hangs I like the Dunedin Causeway, and Tarpon lake parks. For camping Fort Desoto is good but have to get reservations long in advance. Myakka State park, and tons of little off shore islands if you have a kayak or boat. There is a group hang in January that is a must go in the Ocala National Forest.
