Gathered end, integrated bug net and BIG. Everything besides that is possible to compromise on or upgrade.
One thing that also is important is that it should be easy to handle. I don't like fiddling with too many knots and bling-bling when I want to go to sleep, get out of foul weather or break camp.

Tarp ridgelines, those separate line tensioners, whoopies, things like that. I know many love it, but I prefer as few parts and as quick and easy setup as I can get.

My wife and I spent last season going back and forth between our two gathered end hammocks (Hennessy Exp. and WBBB) and two Amok v3. For us, and this is just our observation for us over about 15 nights in the Amok v3 and another ~20 or so in gathered end setups... we actually sold the Amoks a few weeks ago. While they are amazing designs, beautifully made, and comfy...they were just not the hammock design we saw ourselves in long term. We had to make a desicion as we full time in an RV and don't have unlimited space. So we downsized and are back to basics.

Well... Sort of. My wife sold her Hen.Exp and purchased a WB RR !
