That is very good. Samples are great. My post was more referencing those with questions regarding choosing between a SL of Hex70 or DL with different fabric choices solely based on my opinion. As always , HYOH. In your case, you are informed, and are well on your way to your dream hammock. Happy hanging

Great conversation guys! This helped a lot, I was contemplating going hex70 for both layers, I definitely won't do that now. I'm thinking Hex70 for outer and 1.6xl for the inner. I'm buying my "dream" hammock here, I can't skimp on the comfort! I'll go double layer just for the comfort and strength/durability factor.

Having handled the Hex 70 fabric, I would say that two layers of it would be extreme overkill. I decided to go single layer because the places that I camp are never warm at night, even in the summer, therefore I always have an UQ and don't need to contain a foam pad.

WOW..... This thread took off.... OK, going Hex 70 outside, being strong enough..... What would be a comfy cozy fabric for the inside?

That is more up to your preference... Hexon and Argon have a cottony soft feel, while hyperD is a silky soft. That being said.. if you want to take advantage of the wide aspect of the Hex70... Hyper D Xl is probably the way to go. He also just got an Xl ripstop 1.1 I believe... but it is only in orange.

I'm planning a Dream Hammock and after reading this thread I made this same switch.
