I have been watching Shug and other hammock guys on YouTube and am fascinated with the idea of winter hammock camping. I may hate it, but will never know unless I try.
Me---60yrs, 5'8", 175-180 depending on time of year, decent shape for walking, no real health issues.
I came to learn about gear, techniques and pitfalls. I may have some stupid questions, but they will be honest not just trolling.

You won't turn back. Hammock hangin is awesome. I sleep better in my hammock than I do at home. Have been out in the thirties and have been toasty. The twenties shouldn't be a problem. I do need to get a down jacket. I am 65 and am enjoying this a bunch. This forum is great with great people. Welcome and hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
