The Sheep think I have just plain lost it cause I sleep outside
They just can't understand why anyone would abandon a bed and the indoor warmth/shelter

Numbers 1 and 4 sum it up for me! But getting up to pee is a pain whether in a hammock or a tent.... So, I guess #4 - "Always thinking about hammocking", for the win!

As a newcomer to hammocking....I am fairly closeted about being a hammocker.....people seem to find it unusual....the notion is uncomfortable for them.....it is not the norm....they think that I am making a distinct choice with respect to choosing my personal comfort in a hammock vs. on the ground....I like sleeping in a hammock much better it seems....stop judging me....this is not a "phase".

I hate hammocking because I'm not Hammock Royalty like "The Maple King"; or the camp jester "Shug" ;the "Dutch" of all things bling; nor a "Jack(s)" of better things. I'm not even blue and magical like "Papa Smurf" and his Flying Hammocks. But I do get to enjoy their great contributions and the enjoyment of other fellow Hammock riders and thier stories on this awesome forum so I will settle for "Bear Taco in training'".

From what I've been reading, oversleeping can be an issue. lol Especially on a workday.

That everytime kyle brings out a new fabric I feel I must try it.
Then I have to decide if a day off is going to be in a hammock or making one...

an hour in a hammock adds a day to your life.Do the math and you will see that no retirement plan can support being in a hammock every day.

I never thought about it for myself but I've seen people who are embarrassed that they hang. We had a day off from shooting a film on location and I caught the First Assistant Camera carrying her ENO DN from the woods. It was all tucked up under arm but I can spot those colors and that fabric. She told me people think she's weird enough without knowing she likes to hang.

After we parted I thought, "Wow, who cares that much what other people think?"
