    There was one person at McAfee Knob when I got there. He had lived close by for something like 35 years and it was his first time to ever climb up. It's definitely worth a return visit.

    Thanks. The stomach behaved much better on the Big Bend trip. I like it in Texas but I also envy you Virginians.

    Great report. Sorry about not feeling well. I've hiked many, many miles of the AT in VA and have yet to hike up to McAfee knob either, but plan on it next year. Looking forward to it!
