Anyone who's used their quilts knows one reason why. The value proposition is simply one of the best out there.
If you've been fortunate (and smart...) enough to buy one of their tarps, then you know a reason why. The qaulity to price ratio is simply one of the best.
But what really seals the deal for me is the service "on top" of quality and price. Service won't make up for bad quality or price but it's what makes you actually like a supplier.
I have a HG Burrow 20 that I've had for a number of years. It developed a tear by one of the snaps in the foot box. I mentioned it to them and they simply said "send it in". I did and they fixed it for free and sent it back in a really nice sil-nylon stuff sack. It looks like they added some down in the foot box area, removed all but one of the snaps and made it look like it had been made that way.
Probably one of their busiest seaons of the year and they got i back to me in a week...but, I'd told them they could just ship it back when they finished a tarp they're making for me. Figured it would save them on shipping. Now maybe it's easier for them to simply send it back rather than hang on to it in the shop; hard to say, but that's the kind of simple service, on top of price and quality that makes me actually enjoy spending my hard earned money with a US based cottage family business.
In my part of Missouri, the 20 degree burrow top and bottom is about as perfect as you get.
Just had to brag on them a little.
Thank you Hammock Gear!
