NoGround Poles - 3 modes (trekking, hammock support, monopod) Now available

NoGround Poles are purpose designed 0.742 diameter 7075-T9 aluminum multi-function poles. Each pole has 3 modes: Trekking mode adjusts from 40" to 52"; Hammock mode is fixed at 62"; and MonoPod mode works at either mode lengths. There is also a fixed length version (you pick the trekking height between 40" and 52", hammock height is always 62"). Total weight of V2.0 is 16.6 oz, Trekking mode is 11.3 oz. The fixed length model total weight is 13.6 oz. V2.1 is what is being sold, and will weigh slightly less (1 oz or so) and a single foot will be used for both trekking and hammock mode.

Each pole breaks down and longest piece is 28" long for packing ease.

The system has been tested for a static load of 285# for more that 24 hours and has been sleep tested by a 140# hammocker overnight. In both cases the pole felt very solid under load.

Introductory price is $50 for the adjustable model and $40 for the fixed length. Shipping for one pole is $10 (I will combine shipping for more poles). This is an "at cost" price and is good through Nov. 7, 2015 only.

Time to convert from Trekking to Hammock mode is about 4-5 minutes, but should get less as it is practiced.

Ground guylines and stakes are NOT included with the kit, but the guylines can be ordered as well.

Since soil compactness, and ground anchoring angles can vary considerably use of the NoGround system is strictly an "use at your own risk" activity.

Do to customer suggestions I am adding the following options:

Custom Top Knobs: I have several different hardwoods to choose from, and can even make the knobs from colorful acrylics. Contact me at my FB page below with your color requests and I can quote a price.

Bridge Hammock spreader bar adapters ($3)

Gossamer Gear cork handles: $18/pole, note the top of the pole hardware will be above the cork handgrip

Black Diamond Flex Tech Tips: $TBD but likely around $12/pole

Yes, I will charge actual shipping. First Class mail seems least expensive. An example: 1 pole to the Netherlands is $20, 2 for $30. Shipping weight is about 1.5# per pole and package is a 30" tube.

its a funny thing with these hiking pole hammock stands
i love the idea. but ....I'v seen pics and i understand the mechanics of them but i still don't quite believe it enough to give them a try
A video would be a big help on that score i reckon, i bet i'm not the only one still reserving judgement

Just watched your video, that's awesome. I'm super impressed.

Would recommend putting it on youtube as well.
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
