December 18th looks to be the date, Mohican site 9 as primary and 10 as back-up will be the place. Hopefully we will have a good turn out and the weather is a bit nicer than what we had in November. I don’t mind cold, I’m ok with damp and I can live with wet, but cold, damp and wet is not what I call a good time. If anyone needs gear to make it out, give a shout out and we’ll see what can be arranged.

    Vanner,
No problem, look foreword to seeing you there.

    PS
At the November hang I brought a roll of left-over aluminum flashing to share with anyone who wanted to make windscreen. I still have some left and I will try to remember to bring it back again, I also should have some mule tape from 1csleptonkayak that I have not used to pass on as well.

Brrr. Old Farmers Almanac says dry and colder. Unless last minute family stuff happens, I'm planning on being there! Right now I'm going through my gear list and trying to cut some weight out of my winter pack. One thing I plan on ADDING is a folding saw!

Dry and cold is a lot better than cold and wet anytime!

My son is coming in from San Diego that weekend so I am unable to make it in Dec. Still hoping to make most of the 12 month challenge.

    Hi Fellow Amigos,
I am not sure if I will make this hang. I am waiting on my under quilt to be made. Order was placed. Just waiting on my turn. But if nothing else I will probably come up for the day.

I should be up for Friday evening and probably leave out mid morning on Sat. I was texting with Tendertoe, he and a few others may be up for the weekend too, though their plans haven't firmed up.

Looking to be cold and dry. I'll be heading out after work Friday. Not sure how long I'll be able to stay, as Christmas snuck up on me again.

As always, first one to grab a site, mark the sign-in sheet with a big "HF" so we're easy to find.

I can't make it to this one because a group of friends and myself are headed to Columbus to see Star Wars tomorrow and Friday. I would not be able to make it out until Saturday afternoon. I hope to catch a hang in January.

With the 4th only a week after the November hang the 11th or the 18th may make more sense. A single night may be my best option anyway with all things considered, but would make a longer travel to southern Ohio not as practical for me. So I would lean towards Mohican as that seems to have been acceptable to all. As for which site, I have only seen 8, 9, and 10, any of which seem good with 8 being a bit smaller and not suited to a large group of 8 or more but a nice fire ring area. I have heard good things about 1, 2, and 3 but a water crossing may not be optimal depending on temp and water depth. Has anyone been to 7? It’s off by its self and the satellite image looks to have an open a clearing, is it hammock-able? Anyway it seems there some interest in getting something in for December; I was thinking that there might be none. Keep-up the chatter and we’ll work on a general consensus for a date in the next few weeks.
    So far for December I have;
    Dates - 4, 11, 18, 25
Diz* - Fri, Fri, possible, NO
Daneaustin3 - Maybe, maybe, maybe, seriously?
1csleponkayak – in, in, in, no
Revsbentley – open, open, open, out
Hobopelican – works, works, works, no go
Banerstone – any chance at all?
Mboom – up in the air
    Ironlungs – any preference?
I'd absolutely love to make it, but I am on call this weekend. I hope to make it to at least one hang.
