Unless you want 600' of one color, Dutch is the way. Even then he still might be the way.
He has fast inexpensive shipping and outstanding products.

FWIW...Redden Marine was supplying amsteel to us years before most of the other vendors and has a 5% discount code (hammockforum) just for us.

If you don't get it from Dutch then your paying too much !!
But before Dutch started carrying it i would allways wait for redden to have a free shipping sale and stock up, but i prefer to suuport our cottage venders whenever i can and now that Dutch is a distributer it's the way to go for me.
Where else can you ask a question about a product at 9 oclock on a sunday night and get an answer?

Yep, I'm all for getting the best deal when I can.... Also all for supporting local/small/cottage industry business. (Pick which one may apply as required.....)

Way I see it, in your situation looking for amsteel, Dutch offers best of both worlds.... great prices, and a chance to buy that extra goody, (or hopefully goodies) that might not be justifiable from separate sources....and for sure not cheaper....

Haven't even been a customer, (yet....). My first year hammock camping..... But I've got a shopping list of Dutchware ready to go for sure...
