Great video. I have a bike packing trip coming up in December and I am getting very anxious. Time is going very slow.

Nice video. Would like to see more bike packing vids with bike rigs as well. Keep up the good work.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

    Hi Tumbleweed.

my bike is a 2015 Trek Farley 8 with an msrp of around $3,500CAD. I bought it on sale for $3000 CAD in June.

Although I've not weighed it I would guess that it is around 28Ilbs or so. Pretty stock set up apart from tubeless wheels and changed the front chainring to help me on the hills when the bike is fully loaded up. Here is a review of the bike:

The only other thing I have done is installed a Salsa anything cage for holding gear. http://salsacycles.com/components/ca.../anything_cage

and the bike bags I used for my travel are made by Blackburn designs.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks dirtwheels. What bike are you using?

I changed up quite a lot of things from my first trip and planned out pretty much everything to take given that I was nowhere near the car once I got to my camp. Once things I forgot to mention in my gear list above is that I always take my Spot with me for safety.

Have fun on your first trip!
