Exclamation Help I need input and advice on underquilt

I currently have a WBBB XLC but I have a DIY hiking dad (BIC) Bridge in the creation process. I just sold my 20 degree incubator so I could buy a zero degree incubator. However when I was talking to hammock gear they said that it won't fit a bridge hammock. Is this truly the case?

I have other gathered end hammocks and have not not truly tried a bridge other than few minutes lay and it was great. What do I do? I still need to buy a new underquilt one way or another. Do I really need a dedicated bridge underquilt?

I need to make a decision soon because I have to order from warbonnet they have a waiting period and my trip is in early December.

Just about any standard rectangle uq will work on a bridge with little fiddling.

That is what I was under the impression of until I got an email response back from HammockGear. I have their ground pad attachment kit that I was considering using to snug up and attach to their existing loops on the underquilt. Any Idea if that could be a solution? It contains mitten hooks, shock cord and cordlocks.

HG UQ's are not basic rectangle UQ's they have the leg shelf. I believe this is why they don't fit very well on a bridge. The leg shelf was designed for a gatherend hammock while sleeping on your back.

Oh I didn't realize that. Now I understand what the challenge. Man this complicates my choice so much because I love their quilts. Any recommendations for rectangular quilts? I am still hoping I can have one quilt to do either or but It may not be possible.

HG 0 degree for sale right now. Says older model and a little more rectangular. Check it out.

Hey Lamboy - I have a 20 deg incubator (standard size) you can take a look at to see how it fits when you get the bridge-not sure if that helps time wise, but I'm right down the road.

Thanks for the help guys I just bit the bullet and ordered an UGQ ambush in burnt orange. I almost bought that zero degree but I decided I put all the work into building a bridge I better make the best use of it. Since I will be pushing the limits on my trip I didn't want to take chances on fitment and warmth. I was planning on selling the XLC anyways once I got used to the Bridge.
