Get Your Fabric on a Roll - $1 for a LIMITED TIME

Ever worked with fabric on a roll? If you haven't, GET READY TO LIVE.

Cut and folded fabric is great for small projects and for keeping shipping costs to a min, but if you're making a lot of gear, it's not fun. If you've ever worked with fabric on the roll instead of folded, you know what I mean.

To ease this pain, we've added a "Fabric on a Roll" option. Folks have been asking us to get this capability for some time now, and I'm glad to announce that we have it now.

I also put in some time to make this simple and intuitive on the website. Instead of adding a separate product, putting notes on the order, etc, all you do is check the box for "Fabric on a Roll" right on the product page (25 yd minimum order). See screenshot below:

The whole process is actually pretty cool. Here's what it looks like:

To get things started, we're only charging $1 per roll. If you're wondering how good of a deal that is, the tube holding the fabric costs more than that. We can't afford to lose money for too long, so take advantage while you can.

*Note - if you find anything weird related to the fabric on a roll option on the site, please let me know. This was custom code so I'm sure there are some bugs.

    THANKS!
    - Kyle

That is definitely an interesting machine to put fabric on a roll. Correct me if I am wrong, putting the fabric on a roll would cost a significant amount more for shipping?

    Cheers

Depends on where you are and what you're getting. We pack the roll, then send you an invoice for exact shipping costs. For shipments to Canada I don't think it will matter all that much as all international shipments are weight based anyways.

For domestic shipping, anything on east coast would only be a moderate increase. The worst-case would be shipping something heavy to the west coast. If you get it folded, you pay flat-rate, whereas a roll you pay exact shipping.

I would think that a package that is at least 5' long would fall into the oversize category and would be charged based on dimensional weight, not actual weight. Most of the shipping facilities I am familiar with (Postal service and couriers), that is how they do it.

Good to know that it is not much more for shipping, at least domestically.

    Cheers

I have to add the option for each fabric and haven't gotten all of them done quite yet. You should be able to add it for more than just our XL fabrics. Off hand I think I've done 1.6 and 1.0 HyperD, the noseeums, and Membrane line.

Let me know if you have any problems I'll take care of it.

There is a technical issue that we're working out right now. It's not just you. Hope to have it sorted out very soon.
