    Noob Question about Tarp

Okay, here's my question for all you experienced hangers. I have a 10 x 10 Etowah tarp that I just love but I have been wanting doors for the winter. Is it possible to configure this one with doors? I have a 9.5 foot half wit Hex 1 from Dutch and a ridge line on it at 94.6 inches. Will this allow me enough room for staking with doors for cold nights and storms? I would like to use this tarp because it is really easy to find trees for hanging and I don't want to spend anything if I don't have too. I want to be protected from a sudden storm though. We have a lot of those in the South in the evenings. What are your thoughts?

Check 2QZQ as they do tarp mods and have non sew on tarp doors. With what it will cost to get doors you almost almost better off to buy a new tarp with doors.

    Or make your own .....
Pinching the tarp down on its own into doors just seems way to confining....Grizz beaks keeps the space

Or get/make a nylon sock to keep the chance of sideways rain/wind off the Hammock

I kinda like the grizz beak. Then you can use them or not. Pretty neat product!

The nylon sock isn't an option, wouldn't help my dog. I think that I am going to order one set and try they out. I like the vestibule that you can make with it. 45 is a lot cheaper then 140.

if you feel the hammock RL is short enough to be under the 10 ft ridge line of the tarp in A-frame mode, then maybe you could simply stake the middle of the sides down as in a diamond shape, then bring the ends closer to each other in large doors?

I think that I am going to try that and see what it looks like. Thanks! I am going out Tuesday for a few days and I bought some little clips to put on the ends of my tarp. The pulls aren't centered for a configuration diamond style. I'll just throw those in my pack for fun in the woods.
