    Hi Y'all!

    Hello All,

Kindle McGuinness is my trail name and hanging is my preferred sleeping system.
I'm here to seek quality information to lighten my pack load and keep safe, warm and dry while hanging.

Right now, I'm recovering from a long battle with neck and back issues & ultra-light hiking is my focus and a major part of my recovery.
Living with my condition but still enjoying the finer parts of life to include hiking.

As my wife and I recover from our injuries, we are dreaming of a thru hike of the AT.
I have a built in training ground behind the home.
A 1300 foot mountain in Eastern KY.
We live on the 719' plateau and are building our own trails up the mountain side.
Steep with rock scrambles in parts.
    Slow and steady.

I look forward to reading of everyones adventures and wisdom.

Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.

Welcome from Nashville, Tennessee. Looks like you're jumping in with both feet. This is the place!

Thank y'all. I jumped in with both feet back then and quickly was overwhelmed.

Took a few years but I'm finally training after getting my body able to walk again.
Taking off on the A.T. in April 2020.

    Modified Cool Breeze Itinerary.
Best weather I'm told. I'll find out in a few months.
