I use part of a pair of old flannel PJ's, sewn with a string close opening. I put socks or small cloths for filling. This is attached via a piece of shock cord to a loop sewn into the inside peak at the head end of the hammock. Just big enough to support the back of my neck. If it falls out it doesn't get too far.
Buy the Cub it's attached to shock cord with a mitten hook.

I asked this in another thread and got very little response. Those that use the S2S Aeros pillow, can Zing-It be used on the valve closure tabs? Would shock cord be better or worse (too thick)? Can it be looped or hooked on a quilt hanger over the hammock ridgeline? Can the pillow be deflated and just left in the hammock so packing in the small storage sac is not needed? I am hoping to replace the two sided stuff sac/pillow with the aeros, possibly.
The Knotty Mod on my WL Night Owl keeps my pillow tucked in nicely. Also, I cooler months I sleep in a hooded mummy bag and my pillow goes in the hood.
does the "Cub" compress well for packing? If so, how does it not compress while sleeping?
