Saved from falling tree by Hammeck Stand

Set up my new Hammeck stand to test it out and enjoy some of this rainy weather pattering on the tarp. One of my original hammock trees died several years ago and a new hang spot was made. We've been putting off having it cut down and last night it decided it was time to go. While snoozing the night away another storm rolled in with some pretty heavy wind gusts. I kept hearing a creaking sound and then a loud snap! All I could think of was that the tree was coming down on top of me. As I'm getting out of the hammock the tree falls over with a crash and ground shaking thud. I think what saved me was the awesome aura being emitted by the Hammeck stand. The sheer power of this awesomeness was enough to repel the tree in the opposite direction thus saving me from being crushed. If you don't have one of these stands get one.....it could save your life!

Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

TurtleDog hammock stands: Not only do you not need trees to hang your hammock, they actually repel them!

    Glad you are safe!

Maybe procrastinating wasn't the way to go?
That doesn't look like all that big a tree, how much work could it possibly have taken to chop that sucker down?
    Just saying . . .

Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow, or else you will have nothing bug you. Tracey, I would love to have been there.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

While it wasn't as large as your Kauri trees, it was big enough to have done some damage had it fallen the other way.

Glad you're ok! Not sure why you'd put a portable hammock stand in the path of a dead tree though.
