    Tyvek strength experiment...

I just wanted to see if I could rip/tear an uncompromised(no needle holes or grommet punctures) by putting my body weight into it. This piece is 9 feet by approximately 6 inches. Once I can consume 4 or so Gatorades to use the bottle caps for tie-outs, I'll use a 5x9 foot piece I just cut to make an Asym tarp.
For reference, I weigh about 170lbs.

You came close to testing how much it costs to repair a garage door track. Two tests in one!

Yeah, tyvek has good strength relative to weight.

But you better make this the last weight test of your garage door track!

Wow..That is so ironic. I have a broom just like that.
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

Those are designed to bear the weight of 1/2 of a garage door. Sure, they can hold more and often do. They are also expensive and a pain to repair. The choice is yours!
