Hammeck Stand 400 with extension tube

The day before my Hammeck Stand arrived the sky darkened up and we've had a solid week of rain. The sun came out for a few hours today and I was able to get it set up. It's supposed to start raining again in about an hour so I get to spend the first night testing out in the rain.

The stand was easy to set up and went together with no problems

Dutch's Cinch Bugs make adjusting the hammock a breeze

Both my 3 season and winter tarps are 13 X 10 so I ordered the extension pole and the tarps are a perfect fit

With the interior pole mod it really opens up the usable covered space

Bug net in place and ready for a rainy night

Yessir....but you may want to hook up the tarp under the top pole as rain may run in on the pole! Gunner had it happen at the Grayson Hang...https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...=1#post1521175

Thanks for the heads up on the tarp! I'll play around with different set ups in the morning if it stops raining long enough.

Actually it was my wife, The Terminator who had that problem as her tarp was deployed over the stand and rain followed the stands top pole to the middle and drip drip drip on to her hammock. I am going to try placing a drip line on the stand and see if that does anything. If not then the tarp will be suspended under the stands top pole in the future.

I had my tarp set up under the stands top pole and my problem was a leak in the tarp. Once the hurricane passes us I plan to reseal my tarp. Have not been able to dry out all my gear yet since Grayson as it has been raining several times every day.

I will be meeting with the Mecks in few weeks and will pick their brains on the issue.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Last night worked out great and the rain held off for later today. I'll try turning the end cap plugs around so the tarp hooks are on the bottom and rig the tarp under the pole today and see how that works out.

The tarp is now under the pole and the fit is good. After further inspection there was a small bit of water on the pole under the tarp that had leaked in but not dripped yet. Thanks for everyone's help.
