I sleep on a pad, so I wear UnderArmor Cold Gear as a base layer, because it does such an outstanding job of moisture management.

Over that, 300 weight fleece pants and a fleece hoody, something I just refuse to go without...the hood to warm my noggin and neck, and that 'roo pocket for a handkerchief and a tiny StreamLight.

Clean, dry socks...I like the ones from Bass Pro with a lifetime replacement guarantee. I'm a sucker for lifetime guarantees, and a merchant's worst nightmare, because I actually use them.

So far I've always used a bad (in the hammock with me), but I'm rethinking that solely because the zippers don't match the zippers on the new BB I am now using, but here's what I've been doing with my setups:
    Above 50
    - boxers
    - undershirt
    - clean (usually wool) socks
Above 30 - added to the above
    - fleece pajama bottoms
    - wool beanie cap
    - pad
Below 30 - added (-14F is lowest to date, but was had cold feet )
    - 2nd bag (as UQ)
    - wool blanket as TQ
    - sweatshirt
    -b

Baselayer. Add the hiking pants and a hat, insulated balaclava or UL Thermawrap parka when temps drop. Cold sleeper, but with the proper under and over quilt baselayer alone with if needed head insulation has kept me comfortable from 70*F to low 20*F nights.
