I’m finally selling my WarBonnet Blackbird.
Price Dropped.
It is a 10’ double layer 1.1 in a dark olive green that I purchased new back in May 2011. It is the older version with the solid panel footbox, which some feel may provide a bit more durability than the newer no-see-um versions.
I’ve decided to sell it as It hasn’t gotten much use for a number of years and I’d rather see it used by someone else than continue to be packed away. I don’t think it has left the house for at least 2 years.
The hammock is in excellent shape, I can’t find any wear, snags, rips, scuffs, pulls, or damage of any kind. The bug net and tieback strap are solid with no stretch or tears. It is clean and comes from a non-smoking house. There is dog in the house who doesn’t hammock but you may find a stray hair. I weigh < 200# which is well below the weight limit of the hammock and I only hang solo, so not much stress has been placed on it.
The strap suspension has been removed (not included) and replaced with 8” 7/64” Amsteel continuous loops, larks headed onto the hammock. This is set up for a whoopee hook suspension (not included) to allow you to swap your suspension of choice.
The zipper pulls have been extended with yellow ZingIt loops to ease entry/exit.
Mitten hooks and cord locks have been added to the tie-outs to allow for easier removal.
Included is the original WB double ended stuff sack modified with smaller cord locks and color coded drawcords.
Total weight in stuff sack is ~20 oz and it has been freshly hand washed.
