Video: The BWCA in Northern Minnesota!

Here's the latest in my trip report videos. This one is a bit long, so my apologies, but hopefully it's at least a little entertaining. We had an amazing time with good fishing, seeing the northern lights, and moose spotting

Have fun! I hadn't been up there in 15 or so years and it was truly an amazing time. I really think I'm going to start doing more paddle trips! Have another paddle trip in October, but this time it'll be on a river.

Great video. My wife and one of my sons watched it with me. I went up for a 5 night trip last year, love it up there! Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a great trip Bic. The wife and I are off to Quetico (runs along the North boundary of the BWCA) for thanksgiving weekend in October. 5 days of canoeing without kids. It should be epic.
It looks like you hit the same rain pattern we've seen quite a bit this summer, rain all night and clear up in the morning.

Nice work. Too long for me to watch the whole thing, but I really liked your idea of mounting the camera on the front of the canoe facing back when you did your first portage. Wish I had thought of that when I did my filming up there last week. You probably already know this, but if you are looking for a river route the Namekagon is a big favorite of the guys I went with.

Just returned from Gabbro/Gull. Great weather, hammock gear performed perfectly. My 5th trip. Good video, lucky you on the moose. We had a handful of bald eagles, a beaver, yipping coyotes, and good fishing on Pietro.

Very nice video. So great that your son had a good time, too. Congrats on the moose sighting! We saw a cow and calf in the same area last year. First time for us too. We also "experienced" the Portage of Death. It's a doozy!

Started watching your video, but don't have the time to watch it all now. I'll have to watch the rest later.

I did a Baker -> Sawbill loop two years ago with a friend. This summer I did a solo between LIS N and Moose River N.

Like you, I want to have more BWCA trips in my future. I'm hoping to go there and/or Quetico next summer.
