I would love to do this, but unless I can get out into the woods during the school year I would be forced to hang in downtown Atlanta... not the most fun.

A warm and wet December 23 overnight! Stayed dry and comfortable with a Dutch Winter Sock sealing out the weather!

Oh yeah! That winter Sock is great on cutting the wind and mist. I do wish it was a skosh longer, though. In a 11ft hammock with an UQ, mine doesn't quite cover the hammock. Still a great light-weight addition.

Got my December hang in. I hope this counts, I hung my hammock in the screened porch last night. I had to have some surgery three weeks ago so I'm still in the recovery stage. It felt great to sleep outside.

Crowded house for Xmas? Hang it up outside...December hang accomplished. First hang as well, so I was able to test all my gear.

December hang done, had to be a yard hang to set up the brand new Superfly. Hopefully January will be a "proper" hang.image.jpg

What a crazy month, I had an early hang planned to go on a quick snow shoe trip but I ended up being sick that weekend so it never happened. With the holidays I had to settle for another back yard hang. I was hoping for some really low temps to test the absolute low limits of my 20° Incubator but it wasn't meant to be. The previous two nights had lows in the single digits and last night was forcasted at 13° for the low but it only got down to about 17° for the low. There was a very slight breeze and light snow all night long. One of the pics below depicts the snow falling fairly well, it was light but steady all night long. I love the way my Superfly seals me in! I'm 4 for 4 so far. To quote my wife's Instagram post "No need to worry, my crazy husband spent the night out in his hammock in the freezing cold!". Glad you guys get it cause my wife thinks I'm certifiable. #12nights

I didn't hit the 1 night a month but between family camping, scout camping, and testing new equipment in the backyard, I managed 28 nights outside. I'm looking at beating that mark in 2016 and hitting an outing each month.

December's hang a few days ago. Temp down to 21°. Great nights sleep and the best part was it was my buddys first hang! Sharing is caring.
It's not survival gear, it's just a bunch of work
