Month 7 of 12. Great outing with a group of scouts. Temps in the upper 20's and a little snow / rain. Perfect sleeping!
Pitched on a hill, low and tight into the wind. A little porch mode on the down hill, down wind side... Worked out great!

19 / 19 for 2 nights this weekend.
Providence Canyon, GA
Lows in the 60s, high near 90F.
TQ and UQ were nice. Rain overnight was plesant.
I have now achieved month 3 and also my lowest temp! I've been out twice this month the latest was Saturday night and when I woke up at 6am from the alarm it was 16° and I was still toasty warm!! Had to bring the tarp in to dry out. The cat was a little mortified when I brushed the snow off the inside from condensation. Lol!

19 of 19 this last weekend.
The weather is warming up a bit here and I was able to test my new DIY 30°F UQ. the temperature reached a low of 33°F and I was still VERY warm. I had my 2QZQ UQP but definitely did not need the extra 5° for this trip.

I got #3 in this past weekend hanging in the forest at my brother's place...Same place as my 1st hang a year ago. Mild temperature, but rain and a breeze. I stayed warm and dry until I had to pack it all up in the morning. Will have to add pictures later.

March makes 9/9 for me. Had an interesting night in the back yard. First night in the new Chameleon and xenon tarp. Added Winter Wooki XL and an UQP. Temps got down to 16 or 17 degrees depending on the source, with a little breeze. Stayed warm all night but had some visitors. Woke up around 2:45 and realized it was time to go water the bushes, but as I came out of the sleep haze, I also realized that some of the local moose were browsing nearby. Since moose can be a little stressed this time of year, and can get a little pushy/aggressive around food sources, I decided to wait a bit and see if they would move on. Instead, they browsed closer. At one point, one was so close that I was sure it was going to brush up against me, or lay down under the tarp with me. I could hear molars grinding very loudly and swallowing. They finally moved on after an hour and a half or so. I was definitely ready to get out and water the bushes by then. In the morning I checked the tracks and they were indeed as close as they had sounded. In the second picture, the tracks showed the moose was standing right between my tarp stakes and browsing on the bushes right by my head. The last picture shows the browsed twigs in relation to my hammock. Fun night.
