Got everything set up in the backyard for tonight. should be a good test of my new MacEntyre’s shamu top quilt. Hope the neighbors dog doesn’t bark at me all night.

#44 Last Week In a lower elevation so no snow on the ground and probably one of the last below freezing months for a while. It did get down to 27°F but was a clear night. Has a weird light hail storm while setting up. The hail looked like white chocolate chips, a nice uniform cone shape.

Easter weekend overnighter with my son in local metropark. Our very first hammock hang. Got a little cold (36° F), but we had a great time. Have several trips lined up in the near future.

Thanks. Realized later I had the Dutch clips on wrong sides of the trees. Probably put a lot of stress on them/trees. But other than that the whole thing worked great with spreader bar. No, that's a Winter Dream tarp in charcoal gray. Like the Deep Purple stuff I have seen though!

Not a great month for hanging. Family members in hospital and end of month I wound up in Florida helping an elderly relative enjoy possibly their last trip. Not conducive to awesome hangs, but family comes first. I did manage to get two easy hings in.
The first, with no photos, was an overnight at a resort in one of their crappy net beach hammocks. Three beach towels did service as a UQ, TQ and pillow. Pleasant night but the high point was talking a security guard, who found me, into letting me stay! Thank god, I packed the picariden!
When I got home, I had one night and decided to try some old equipment in the yard. Hammeck stand, Old Roaming Gnome from DH, and my first Zepplin UQ. I tend to forget how comfy that RG is!
