@Jadekayak- Heat doesn't bother me, really. I actually use my 20F UQ anytime it's under 70F! Also, Every day is cool, but I can't pull that off. You should start an everyday thread!
I'd be into that. So far I'm at 188 outside for this year (I do have a woman, so sleeping inside some times is important)
Some of those nights were as "warm" as 100°+.

When I first found this thread, awhile back, I thought that's great! But then I quickly realized that there was no way I could only be out once a month as I live outside.

Got out to a non-public campground with MadTurtleCreek this past weekend. We brought food for a bunch of folk, but life caused cancellations for everyone except the two of us. Beautiful spot in a pine cove with a carpet of dried needles. WX was a bit chilly, but the rain held off until I was driving home. Quiet, plenty of food, a fire and great company, it doesn't get much better in my book.

Number 76 wasn't very exciting. A couple of trips fell through and with the holiday, I had to go back to my yard trees. The best part was that when I was getting ready to setup, it started pouring. Gave me a chance to practice setting up in the rain. In all the years I've been hanging, setting up in the rain has only happened twice (in my memory!) Less than three minutes to get the tarp setup and the rest was easy.

So, goodbye and good riddance 2021, bring on 2022!

I was able to get out for a quick 1-nighter in the Uintah Mountains, Soapstone area. Hiked/snowshoed in just a little over a mile, so not too far. Low temps were predicted for 10F, so I supplemented my 20F TQ/UQ with my 40F-ish CDT and 35F-ish sleeping bag in TQ mode.

Actual low temp was 7F, and I was toasty warm until I had to get up in the morning. Hike back to the car was beautiful with the sun just coming up.

I hope to have an underquilt ready to go by the end of the month. I kludged enough together to get in Nov and Dec. January is going to be more challenging.

12 nights a year is my New Years resolution. Well part of it at least. My goal is to engage my kids more with the outdoors. (0,4,6 year olds). Ordered a new UQ from hammock gear 2 weeks which won't make it here by the end of January, so will have to do 2 in February!

I've got about 4 nights in for the year so far... gonna get one or two more this weekend. No place special.. just out in the "yard" (my house is pretty much IN the woods), but it is great to wake up with the birds singing and the sun slowly peeking in. If I could just figure out a way to keep the house wrens from swooping in under my tarp looking for a place to nest every few minutes.. it would probably reach perfection.

PS: Looks like 36 degrees tonight... and 25 tomorrow night, reckon its time to bust out the long johns...lol

It was -13f here last night. I'm hoping for a warm front.

Had a trip planned with a friend, but we decided to postpone due to temps lower than either of us had done in a bit. But since this thread is all about trying our equipment in all weather, I did a January yard hang. I should have gone! Single digits and I was pretty warm... and I'm the kinda guy that uses a 20F UQ in 50 degree weather!

Setup was a 0⁰F TQ and UQ. No tarp deployed, but I had a sock that I used when the wind kicked up. Low teens and about 10 kt winds.

The pics below show me at about midnight, when it was still just cold (left) and just before dawn when wind was kicking and the temp was about 11⁰F
