Forgot my tree straps at home as they were in my "all-in-one-DIY-stuff-sack". Fortunatelly I had some paracord from my tarp ridgeline I was able to prusik the hammock onto. The trees showed no signs of damage or hurt, but that is probably due to the thick bark they had, and skinnier trees would probably have been injured.

Used my Carinthia G180 UQ... as a foot warmer and a rumpl blanket as a TQ + a light down jacket in the early morning to keep my back warm. Delicious hammocking.

Got #24 this weekend. Had a great backpacking trip in the Uinta Mountains. Camped at 10,800 ft. Had a turning point in our troop with 7 of 9 camping in Hammocks and only 2 on the ground.

    Full moon rising:

Awesome! 7/9 that's a great start for them.

Fantastic scenery too, love the full moon picture.

Thanks, we have been working on them and they are learning new skills to go with hanging.
The pictures never will do the justice the area deserves. The moon barely shows in the one and not at all in the other.

My trail buddy just bought some land last month, so I got my third consecutive month in last night on his new property. We hunkered down next to a creek and a fresh water spring coming out of the hill side. Nice little spot he had picked out. Got a great lightning show till after midnight, I slept like a baby. He on the other hand got very little rest in his tent. Great night all together, really happy to be trying this challenge.

We have hung about half of this month so far! Personally I'm on month 8 as I started in January conveniently enough.

I got August in at BSA camp Rainey Mountain for the eclipse viewing yesterday.

I think this completes 2 years without missing a month.
