The first pic from Hoist I used a JRB 20 degree Greylock 3 with a high of 60 on that Saturday and a low of 28...probably looks bigger because I used my UQP from 2QZQ for a little more protection since I was in porch mode all weekend ...Just got home from Green Timbers and over the four days we went from minimal snow and 50 degree weather to a low of 18 last night...mother nature threw everything she had at us. Used my 0 degree Greylock 4 and a 0 degree EE TQ. Here it is the same spot when we first arrived.

Thanks! I live in Texas, Houston area. Need another UQ, trying to make a decision. I will camp mostly here, but some trips to the Rockies, Smokies, AT, Utah, etc will happen. I have a snugpack, that will take care of 40°+. I appreciate the response. Doing a Rocky Mountain trip in may, it will still hit freezing!

I'm new to hammock camping but, I want to play too

Both my January and February overnights were in my very rural backyard. While I love winter camping, I did have to come back in the house at 4 am in February because after 5.5 hours, I still hadn't fallen asleep and probably wasn't going to. Can I still count that as my second month? Lol

Squeezed in my 11th put of 12 nights last night in my back yard. I was hoping for colder weather but it just didn't happen, so my personal best low temp remains at 21*. I was warm and toasty last night in my 20*set at 40ish degrees. Next month will see me going 12 for 12!
