Thank goodness my oldest son is in Boy Scouts! We had our OA service weekend this month at Camp Hart near Grean Lane, Pa. This puts me at 8 for 8. Next month we are canoeing the Pine Barrens in NJ. I have been lackadaisical in get my pics, just to lazy to get out of the hammock to take a picture. Next month I will make sure we get some.

Got out in the back yard again last night, 5/5. It didn't get as cold as they were forecasting and when the radiant energy of the sun hit my tarp this morning it got downright warm. I didn't bother with a pic since it's exactly the same as last month.

Made it out for the 8th month. Went out to the group hang at Mohican State Park. That might be the last cold hang for awhile!

North Vermont.... the weather is below 30 one day and 65 the next.... but the freezing days seems to be on the weekends... only a matter of time.

Wow! I think I'll wait for summer for that visit! Hope it gets a little warmer soon so you can enjoy some great nights in the hammocks!

I got my May hang in this weekend. From all my talk of hammocks my brother has now taken an interest. He came with me on a quick overnight backpacking trip. We got to our destination and got our hammocks and tarps set up just as it began to rain. I love that with hammock camping you have room under your tarp to sit and cook out of the rain. After about 2 hrs. of rain it calmed downed and just sprinkled here and there throughout the night. The overcast skies kept the temperatures fairly high overnight and it only got down to about 52*. Check out the views from our camp this morning!
