If this were truly better than the top grade snythetics, and the product has been around for a decade, all the major gear manufacturers would be using it.

Exactly. Gear is a very competitive industry. Look how fast dridown or silnylon or cuben took off. Or how much more people will pay for the higher fill power down.

    Oh, quit using logic.
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same

Sorry, how could I ever take lightly a product called Dream Puff?

The industry is very competitive, I agree! They are just about to come out with an ultra water resistant down better than dri down, that can shed water for 1000+ minutes. They have teamed up with minwax or someone like that to create this new water resistant down. Your typical goods manufacturers will carry it, North face, Marmot, etc..I can't remember the products name at this time but, I'll let you know if I remember it!

If cost wasn't a factor we could probably do it now. Although, it makes me wonder since we cant seem to even match lower FP's of down. The best synthetic fibers seem to offer 650fp and MAYBE approach 700fp. But whoever pulls it off will have to find a way to do it cheaper than someone harvesting it from a bird.
