Kelty 20 Degree Bag - 65 Dollars

Hello everyone,

Ive been lurking for a long while here, but I wanted to take the chance to let everyone know about a deal I found today and maybe you can find it as well. At The Academy outdoors and recreation store today I purchased two Kelty SB 20 down bags for $65 each. This bag has 800 fill power down and supposedly has around 16 ounces of it. The bag itself weighs a little over two pounds, so I felt it was possible.

Anyway, I encourage you to check out your local Academy if you have one near you. The gf said the deal wasnt online, so you might have to go in person, or give them a ring. I dont know how long this will last.

I figure with that low a price and decent down, you might be able to fund a few DIY projects on the cheap. I wish you luck.

Wow looks like a great bag for price. Too bad there is not a shop for a few miles around the West Coast. Enjoy. PS Welcome to HF and getting your feet wet on a post.

Hey Lincoln I'm a huge fan of Academy and was just recently looking at the sleeping bags in store and didn't come across the bag you speak of. Could you post some pictures of what the bag looks like? Is it a mummy or rectangular? Thanks and welcome to HF!

Checked my local store and this bag is still full price and not on clearance. So I imagine it must be regional.

We don't have any Academy stores near where I live, but I happened to be visiting Florence, SC yesterday, which does have one. Unfortunately they didn't have this sleeping bag at all.
