I just made reservations for November 2nd @ Fall Creek Falls.
It may be the only partly Sunny day before we lose peak fall colors.

The backcountry sites are hammock friendly @ Fall Creek Falls (Spencer, TN)
Overnight parking is at the ranger's house.
Pretty safe.

The Cumberland Trail in Dayton, TN (Laural-Snow State Natural Area) has hammock-friendly sites. Registration is free for camping. Overnight parking just requires registration with your license plate and such. It's my go-to.
